Dive description

Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) otherwise known as Resort Course or Intro to Diving is a great way to get started. This is an opportunity for you to take your first breath underwater and discover a completely new world. We highly recommend you start with a Discover Scuba program before taking a certification course.

2 Tank Discover Scuba Diving on one of our boats is a once in a lifetime experience before taking the plunge to an Open Water Certification. The minimum age to participate in this program is 10 years old and the maximum depth for first time divers is 40 ft / 12 m.

During the 25-minute DSD discussion, you will learn how to clear your mask underwater, how to use the necessary equipment, buoyancy skills and recovery of the regulator. We will review how to communicate while underwater using hand signals. For your convenience, the DSD learning will be during the boat ride to the dive site and then let the adventure begin!

For your safety and enjoyment, the DSD program is limited to 2 students per Instructor on the boat. Each dive usually lasts around 45 to 60 minutes each.
After we surface from our first dive, we will have a one-hour surface interval to enjoy some refreshments including water, fresh fruits, and snacks. Based on our first dive experience, we will then select our second dive.

While there is never any guarantee, we usually see amazing coral formations, schools of colorful fish, lobster, stingrays and turtles.

If you are short on time or just want to start with something a little easier, we offer a walk-in shore dive from the beach as a 1 tank dive.

Boat description

• Our boats have ample shade from the sun and will have you arriving at the dive spot quickly so you can get in the water. (150hp Yamaha Engines)
• Boats were built specifically to offer the best comfort for divers and snorkelers, where you can roll in or use the back platform for entry by giant stride into the water.
• Boats have National Marine Park Permits. Part of the proceeds contribute to caring for the reefs.
• Boats having the National Marine Park Permits allow us to dive anywhere inside this protected area, all while respecting the annual reef closure rotation (check map calendar) and weather report.
• Regular safety inspections completed by the harbor master to assure we have the necessary first aid kits, GPS equipment, oxygen, life jackets, vhf radio and extinguishers on board.
• For your comfort we have a bathroom on board and a very stable ladder to exit from the water.
• Our boats are available for up to 12 passengers.
